It has been a long standing social stigma that pawnshops are the place people take stolen things to get money, which couldn't be farther from the truth! Golden Pawn 2 recently voluntarily upgraded our software systems to report the things we get to the police in an immediate searchible format! We don't want stolen things and criminals know that. We have aided in the capture of multiple fugitives and it is commonly know that anyone taking stolen things to a pawn shop is taking a considerible risk. The result is that even with our automated reporting system less than 1 in 300 things are investigated due to similar model numers and serial numbers and less than half of those are actually the merchandise that is stolen! Rest assured that Golden Pawn is on the lookout for thieves and will report them when we have opportunity!
